SKEET RANGE NOW OPEN! Print E-mail

The skeet range is now open!

The range can be used for Olympic ISU and English Skeet.  Prior warning is obviously required so the correct coloured clays can be loaded accordingly.

The price per round is £6 for non-members and £5 for members.  Juniors 16 and under shoot for half price - this applies to all the disciplines in practice and competitions (does not apply to BICTSF Selection Shoots).

NEW SKEET RANGE AT NUTHAMPSTEAD Print E-mail

Martin Barker has been busy this month (May 2008) installing a skeet range which came from the late Keith Underwood's shooting ground at Gransden, Cambridgeshire.

Once the skeet range is finished, Nuthampstead Shooting Ground will be able to show all the Olympic Disciplines - Olympic Trap, Double Trap and Skeet.

Whilst the opening day for skeet has not been set, it is hoped that god willing, the skeet range will be open by the middle of June 2008.  Please contact us for further details.

As Nuthampstead is one of the official Pre-2012 Training Camps listed in the Olympic e-brochure, it is hoped that visiting teams for 2012 will use this facility for all the clay shooting disciplines.  LOCOG  have announced there is a financial  allowance for all visiting overseas teams using the official Pre-2012 Training Camps.

2012 OLYMPIC TRAINING CAMPS as at 3rd MARCH 2008 Print E-mail

Nuthampstead Shooting Ground has been listed as an official Pre-Games Training Camp Site for the 2012 Olympic Games.

LOCOG is developing an on-line facility in partnersip with VisitBritain, the national tourism agency.  This is a first for any Olympic or Paralympic Organising Committee.  The Guide will allow NOC's (National Olympic Committees)  and NPC's (National Paralympic Committees)  to search for training camps on a sporting and geographical  basis and will be presented to NOC's and NPC's at a series of invitational events during the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games later this year.
